At the Round Church, we desire for worship to be at the heart of everything we do as a community of faith. Worship is an encounter with the living Holy God. It isn’t simply a scheduled meeting or a religious activity.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Psalm 95:6
One expression of our corporate worship are our Sunday Morning Services which are detailed below and although we do not have a creche at this time, everyone and all ages are welcome to join us!
The First Sunday of every month at 10am – Informal Worship
The Informal Worship Service is an opportunity for our Sunday School to join us so that we can worship our Lord together as the family of God, to declare the name of Jesus Christ with passion and authenticity, relying on the strong foundation of God’s Word. You can expect the music to be both modern and classic songs of worship that uplift Jesus Christ, often using keyboard, guitars and a number of other instruments in a praise band format. Multimedia such as video and graphics is used to add impact.
2nd to last Sunday in the month at 10am – Traditional Worship.
These Sunday morning services are traditional in nature and usually identical in format. The Word of God is preached with passion and relevancy, the sacraments of Baptism and Communion are regularly celebrated, and God is glorified through the gifts of music, usually led by our organist.
Our Sunday School starts at 11.00am and takes place in the Baptist Church on Jamieson Street on all Sundays during school term time except the first in the month when everyone gathers in the Round Church for informal worship - this new format is a means of allowing a meeting of traditional styles of worship and new styles, using multimedia in a more informal setting. We do hope you will join us.
